Looking for a new matey to add to your crew? On September 19th, the pets and people at Nevada Humane Society are getting into the spirit of Talk Like a Pirate Day with costumes and more. Come visit with some of the cutest and furriest pirates of the Pacific and get your photo taken in front of a pirate ship with Captain Don.
In honor of Talk Like a Pirate Day and throughout September, landlubbers can save some booty and enjoy reduced fees, adopting adult dogs for $25, adult cats for $10, and kittens for just $40. Additionally, all cats over 3 years old are free. As always, Nevada Humane Society will have all hands on deck to help match you with your perfect pet.
When you adopt a pet, you ll also be helping Nevada Humane Society meet their goal of finding loving homes for nine-hundred pets in September as part of a three-month national pet adoption competition the 2012 ASPCA $100K Challenge. Nevada Humane Society is one of 50 shelters nationwide competing for more than $500,000 in prizes, including a grand prize of $100,000.
