Hope Solo probably won't be hitting the dance floor any time soon.
The U.S women's soccer team goalkeeper made it all the way to the semi-final round of Dancing with the Stars with partner Maksim Chmerkovkiy before being eliminated, but she told Anderson Cooper it was a bumpy road.
"I was told I had too much muscle and I was too intense and wasn't very dainty," Solo told Cooper. "Well, hello you cast a female professional athlete. Help me get better as a dancer."
The 5'9 soccer star, who helped her team land a second place finish at the 2010 Women's World Cup, had more than one controversial moment throughout the season and was often the subject of harsh criticism from DWTS judges.
During the competition, Solo, 30, wasn't shy expressing her frustration with her scores at one point telling judges they could "kiss my booty" after receiving a slew of 7s.
"Honestly, I went into this experience completely naive," she said. "I am an intense athlete, however, I also am very I can let loose and have fun and smile, and I did not treat this competition like it was the Olympics. I wasn't that intense."
Still, Solo told Cooper she had no regrets about going on the reality show.
"I just really wish that America and all of our fans saw the fun-loving side of me and Max," she said. "Because I think that's what people really wanted to see".
